Toby Fox announced the exact release date timing for Deltarune Chapters 1-4 worldwide on all platforms in the May 2025 newsletter for the game, and the announcement also confirmed a cross-buy promotion. Since the game debuts at 12am JST on June 5, 2025, it will appear on June 4, 2025 in other regions. As for the cross-buy promotion, there is one for PlayStation versions and one for Nintendo ones.

First, here’s the exact release date timing for Deltarune Chapters 1-4 in some major time zones:

• Pacific Time: 8am PT on June 4, 2025
• Eastern Time: 11am PT on June 4, 2025
• Central European Time: 5pm CET on June 4, 2025
• Japanese Standard Time: 12am JST on June 5, 2025

As for the Deltarune Chapters 1-4 cross-buy promotion, it is essentially tied to s. If someone buys a copy on the PlayStation Store, they immediately get the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. If someone heads to the Nintendo eShop, the used will end up with both a Switch and Switch 2 version tied to it. However, Fox did note in the newsletter that Japan requires an additional fee due to laws, so that is the only region where an extra Switch or Switch 2 copy would be free.

Due to exact release timings, the Deltarune Chapters 1-4 release date in most regions will actually end up being June 4, 2025, with countries like Australia and Japan being exceptions. While 3 and 4 aren’t out yet, you can play the first and second chapters for free now.

You start out by clearing out the farm so you can plant crops, and then you get invested in helping spirits rebuild the community center.

There is a surprising amount going on in Stardew Valley. Aside from farming you will go mining, fishing, attend festivals, and of course date the people of the town. There are a dozen villagers that are single and ready to mingle. Getting married offers benefits, including the addition of children in your hand-built home. Just be prepared that if you decide to play Stardew Valley that you might lose hundreds of hours of your life to it.

You only get into the dating sim elements of Undertale after you have finished the main game, so if you’re looking explicitly for games with plenty of dates then you should probably on this one. However, it is one of the best games of all time, known for its excellent character development, unexpected writing and dialogue, and the way it twists players' expectations.

Most people probably know the twist of Undertale at this point, but we won’t spoil it here just in case. It tells the story of a child who falls into a mysterious underworld filled with strange creatures who confront them at every turn. However, alongside those who attack them on sight, they find those who want to help. It’s about the relationships we have with others, and most of all forgiveness.

It’s amazing just how much can be conveyed without a single word. Instead, you can see not just how their relationships blossom or wilt, but their career path, their religion, and their hobbies. Above all decorating and organizing the different places they live is incredibly satisfying even if you don’t care for the wordless story of love and loss.

Created by many of the people who also worked on the modern Persona series, Catherine: Full Body shows more than a few of those games’ signature hallmarks. The story starts with our main character Vincent, who has been with his girlfriend Katherine for a long time. She is beginning to grow impatient waiting for marriage, and give him an ultimatum. Following this very serious conversation he finds himself waking up every morning to the young, seductive Catherine.

By day Vincent talks about his dilemma with his friends at his favorite bar The Stray Sheep, which is where he also meets his third potential love interest, the kind-hearted Rin. He also tries to guide the other customers of the bar through the struggles of their lives. At night, he is stuck climbing a nightmarish tower of block puzzles, alongside the other customers, who are also working through their issues as well. A trippy and heart-warming adventure.

Cassette Beasts is a creature collector like Pokémon, but it bears only a ing resemblance to Game Freak’s monster franchise. Instead of catching beasts you will record them on ‘90s style cassette tapes, and though you use them in battle, the one that’s truly in the firing line is you. Unlike the Pokémon games you will never be fighting alone; the power of friendship is always on your side.

As you continue through the story you will find more characters to you on your journey. They each have their own missions they are trying to accomplish. If you help them out, then you will grow closer to them either as friends or, if you like, lovers in this Switch dating sim. Except the dog. You aren’t allowed to date the dog.

Many Switch dating sims add romantic elements as just another feature that you can choose to interact with or not. Eternights puts the dating part of the action RPG at the forefront, and the ending that you receive completely changes based on who you choose. It’s one of the most impactful dating choices in gaming, outside of a visual novel.

The apocalypse is here, and after a long stint in an underground dungeon you emerge to find that those who remained on the surface have turned into monsters. After a supernatural encounter where your arm is ripped off and replaced with a weapon, you decide to get to the heart of the issue alongside any survivors you find along the way. Luckily, most of those survivors happen to be cute girls.

Boyfriend Dungeon does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a dungeon crawler that is full of boyfriends, girlfriends, non-binary friends, and a cat. Set in a world of wielders and weapons, you create a bond with your armory who also happen to be handsome suitors. The stronger your bond when your weapons are in human/feline form, the better they perform in the dungeons.

What makes Boyfriend Dungeon unique is how it handles your relationships. Some partners will be happy with you dating around, others will want you to be monogamous. Some are just a fling, and others want to be your life-long love. There are many flavors of relationship, and even some hidden suitors to find.

A Space for the Unbound 436s15

This is one of the few games that has made me cry ugly tears, and that is a testament to how touching the story is. A Space for the Unbound isn't really a Switch dating sim with stats that go up and down, but it does tell the touching romance between Atma and Raya. When Raya is having a hard time Atma is always there to cheer her up, but he’s left unsure if that’s the right thing to do.

Raya discovers that she has developed psychic abilities that allow her to warp the world around her to her whims. Atma explores the Indonesian village in which they both live, and has to decide what the best course of action is to help her. As he is dragged through many of her painful memories, he has to decide whether placating her, or tough love is the best way to help Raya heal in this heartwarming story.

Toby Fox confirmed once again that Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 will be available in 2025, continuing the game's story. He took to Bluesky to issue a New Years message confirming the release window.

In his New Years greeting, Toby Fox posted an image offering a reminder that Deltarune Chapter 3 & 4 would both be releasing this year. This news was delivered by a crudely drawn snake in cool shades to represent 2025 being the year of the snake in the Chinese zodiac. He did not provide any further updates on when in 2025 the latest chapters would be releasing.

Toby Fox has been providing updates on the game’s development via his newsletter. The next two chapters of Deltarune are in the final stages, with bug fixing and localization currently underway. An external company is handling the testing, with the PC version of Chapter 3 mostly complete. Console testing is still ongoing. In addition, the first of Japanese translation for Chapter 4 has been implemented and is also undergoing testing. He also has some additional team doing some early work on Chapter 5.

Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 were already confirmed for a 2025 release by Toby Fox at Halloween. He is determined to have a simultaneous worldwide release across PC and consoles, which is why these latest chapters are going to require additional work prior to release.

Toby Fox shared another update on social media about the progress of Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4, the two paid ones on the way, and confirmed they’ll debut in 2025. This comes after a previous update noted a simultaneous worldwide release for both was the goal.

Here’s Toby Fox’s statement on the next two chapters of the game. There’s no specific launch window beyond next year yet. This is due to preparing all of the localizations and ensuring it will be on Nintendo and PlayStation systems alongside the PC version.

The last updates on Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 arrived in July 2024 and September 2024 via Toby Fox’s newsletter. The first one mentioned how simultaneous releases were a goal, as well as noting how these two put together are longer than the first two together. The September 2024 update noted 8-4 was working on the Japanese Chapter 3 localization and PC version testing would start in October 2024. Chapter 4’s main content and PC version was also done by September 1, 2024.

Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 are available now on the Switch, PS4, and PC, and Chapters 3 and 4 of the game are set to launch in 2025.

The latest Deltarune Chapter 3, 4, and 5 update is live, and it primarily focuses on how work on Chapter 4 is going and the road to the release of Chapter 3 & 4. Toby Fox noted in the July 2024 newsletter that three people completed the “unfinished Chapter 4” and some of the development tasks involve adjusting four battles, working on two cutscenes, and polishing a bit.

In the update, Fox noted that the goal is to have a simultaneous worldwide release on both consoles and PCs for the third and fourth parts. He also noted those two together are longer than the first and second ones. As for Chapter 5 of Deltarune, Fox noted initial work on bullet patterns and maps started.

Toby Fox also released a “Quests to Release Chapter 3 & 4” page that offers a more detailed explanation of the current Deltarune progress as the team works toward getting to Chapter 5. It goes over how YoYoGames made a new Gamemaker function just for this title called game_change and the challenges of being the test case first. Then it talks about getting the console versions of the game prepared. (The first two chapters appeared on the Switch and PS4.) The Japanese localization work will start after that. Finally, they’ll deal with bugs, getting a rating, and the last bits of preparation for release.

Cover announced that the new song from Hololive Vtuber Houshou Marine, called “Dead Ma’am’s Chest,” was written by Toby Fox and Camellia. The Undertale creator worked on the music, while Camellia handled the arrangement and lyrics. The track will also appear on her first album called Ahoy!! You’re All Pirates, which will launch on October 16, 2024 in Japan. 

The music video for the Houshou Marine Toby Fox song is also live, with Wit Studio handling the animation for “Dead Ma’am’s Chest.” That studio also worked on Spy x Family, Suicide Squad Isekai, and some Pokemon anime adaptations. If someone turns on closed captions, an official English translation for the lyrics is available. A karaoke option is also present.

In honor of her 2024 birthday celebration on July 30, 2024, Houshou Marine also performed a 3D live. During it, she performed alongside fellow Hololive Vtubers like Kobo Kanaeru, Shiranui Flare, Shirogane Noel, and Usada Pekora. HIMEHINA, Pmaru-sama, and Reol also appeared.

As for that first Houshou Marine album, the Ahoy!! You’re All Pirates limited edition and 10 of its 14 songs were revealed. The four unrevealed ones seem to be the four entirely new songs. The $81 limited edition includes the CD and Blu-ray, a poster lyric card, a PR card for the Hololive Official Card Game, and an acrylic stand of the Vtuber based on the cover art for the album.

Undertale and Deltarune creator Toby Fox commented on his collaboration with Hololive Vtuber Amane Kanata on the song "Fallen Wing," which also is being produced by Camellia. The comment came as part of a mini-newsletter sent out to those on the Undertale and Deltarune mailing list.

Deltarune creator Fox began by describing how he watched Kanata's streamed playthrough of Undertale, and stated that he was moved by her reaction to the Pacifist ending of the game, which led him to reach out to Kanata about a collaboration. Here is the full statement:

I always liked her singing voice, I found it to be very distinct and kind of personal sounding. Combined with her Angel aesthetic, I felt I had the potential to make a really cool song with her… So, I asked her… And… It happened!

He went on to describe how seeing her struggle with hearing loss while pursuing music resonated with him, as he himself suffers from wrist issues that prevent him from working on his own projects. He also praised producer Camellia's arrangement for the song and linked to an instrumental sample.

Amane Kanata also appears in the Magical Girl holoWitches project revealed by Cover and Hololive earlier in May 2024. Toby Fox, meanwhile, also released an update newsletter back in February 2024 that offered an update on the development of Deltarune's Chapter 3.

Toby Fox released a Valentine’s Day Deltarune and Undertale newsletter that offered an update on Chapter 3 of the new game. A brief update on Chapters 4 and 5 also appeared, and there is a new producer involved in development. 

Apparently, the team is now working on the Japanese localization before finishing up the project. This is one of the final steps before that portion of the game is done. 

As for Deltarune Chapter 4 and 5, the update mentioned progress on both as well. The fourth part is now the primary focus, and there is an unnamed internal deadline for that. This portion of the announcement also mentioned the new producer, though the member of the team wasn’t named.

Happy 2024, everyone! The Deltarune team (and I) were taking a break for the holidays to visit our families, but now everyone's back and excited to get back to the game.

Re: Chapter 3, we are working on the Japanese localization. Then we will begin porting and bugtesting the Chapter, after which it will be... totally complete!

As mentioned last time, the team is now mainly focusing on Chapter 4, with some minor work being done on Chapter 5. We've set an internal deadline for ourselves regarding Chapter 4 and our new producer is going to help us make the sweet sweet moves we need to make to meet it. The last major update on the game appeared back in October 2023. That announcement noted that Deltarune Chapter 3 of the game will be sold alongside Chapter 4.

People won’t need to wait for Deltarune Chapter 5 to release before getting to play Chapters 3 and 4. Toby Fox’s Halloween 2023 newsletter confirmed 3 and 4 will be available to purchase when 4 is finished.

The newsletter began with an update on Deltarune Chapter 3. This is the first since the September 2023 update that went over the removed stealth section. Fox described it as “content complete” and also said that someone already played through the chapter from beginning to end in its current state.

After the update about Chapter 3 being complete, Fox went over why the plan changed from releasing it at the same time as Chapters 4 and 5. Fox specifically said, "My original plan was to release Chapter 3, 4, and 5 together. However, the finish line of Chapter 5 is still pretty far off... and I don't think anybody really wants to wait that long to release anything. Especially me.” 

As for the Deltarune Chapter 4 update, there’s a new producer working on it and both some cutscenes and enemies are done.

Developer Toby Fox's latest newsletter offered a new Deltarune Chapter 3 update that also revealed a stealth mechanic didn't make it into the final game. In the email, Fox noted that the team found the section where that portion would have appeared wasn't "fun," so it ended up removed. In addition, the latest announcement noted this next part of the game is now playable from beginning to end.

Here's Fox's full statement on the now cut Deltarune Chapter 3 stealth mechanic. That portion also included a link to a song that would have appeared when the team was sneaking through that part of the game. As it was cut, Fox decided to release the in-progress track for everyone to hear.

We are continuing to work on Chapter 3! The Chapter got playable from beginning to end. After some restructuring and reshuffling of different parts, it's feeling quite good to go through. Can't say it's finished yet, but the unfinished parts are certainly seeming less and less numerous. That's good because try as I might to sleep, until the game is finished, I'll see nothing but nightmares...

Earlier, we were considering having a stealth-focused section in the game where you would slowly, slowly sneak around certain areas.

After developing some concepts, we realized a mechanic which basically just makes you move slower isn't necessarily fun.

So, we didn't do that...

The last Deltarune update appeared back in June 2023. At the time, Fox noted the team was working on the overworld part.

In the Summer 2023 Undertale/Deltarune email newsletter, Toby Fox shared details about a cut scene featuring Sans eating ice cream. Fox first explained that there were sprites from it in the game, which people may have discovered, but never ended up used. These would have been part of a segment for speedrunners, but that didn't happen. However, there's now a video mock-up showing what that event would have looked like, complete with special music.

Here is the segment showing Sans eating ice cream in Undertale. While it would have appeared at the end of the game, there are no spoilers present. It does offer a nod to the fact that whoever playing the game ended up getting through the story much faster than expected.

This isn’t the only detail about a game that came up in the Summer 2023 email newsletter. Fox also offered an update on Deltarune’s progress. Apparently, they are now working an overworld area for the third chapter of the game. There's still no release window for the next part of that game yet, however.

Undertale is available on the PS4, Vita, Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Sans and Papyrus Nendoroids are also now available.

In particular, there are hints as to how Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 are going. There are no release dates yet. Fox noted that once the final overworld they are working on now for this part is finished, ”the chapter will finally be playable all the way through.”

As was the case last time, we're focusing on Chapter 3. However, there are a few people working on pieces of later chapters, such as bullet patterns or puzzles.

As for Chapter 3, we're finally creating the final overworld area. You could think of it like the "Queen's Castle" or "Card Castle", but for this chapter. With this complete, the chapter will finally be playable all the way through...! (Fun Fact: I composed the song for this area in 2016...)

This Chapter is made of many different pieces... so it's been hard to understand exactly how everything was turning out. Now that things are clearer, I just need to roll over the entire game with a steamroller and crush out all the bumps. There may be things to add, things to fix, or things to remove… but, many pieces have been quite polished already, so it won't be too bad.

As you can tell, this chapter is shaping up to be a pretty strange one. I mostly focused on unusual gameplay elements, and it's not too heavy on the story. Since it's so frivolous, I feel a bit self-conscious about it... but, at least I got to try something different!

Anyway, Chapter 4 will be a much more standard chapter!

There’s a new Undertale Nendoroid, and this time it’s Toriel's turn. She’ll come with three face plates and a butterscotch cinnamon pie accessory. Pre-orders are now available for ¥7,000 on the Good Smile Company site or $50.99 in the US Online Store. It’s scheduled to release in August 2023 in Japan. In the US, it will appear in Q4 2023.

There will be three different facial expressions available for the Toriel Nendoroid: smiling, blushing, and combat/angry faces. As for the poses, it will bring the traditional hands-together look, and also interchangeable arms with open hands as if to hold a pie or to prepare a hug for a certain someone.

This Toriel figure was previously announced along with the Human Nendoroid back at the WonHobby 36 event, bringing the number of Undertale-based Nendoroids up to five. On the same note, Nendoroid versions of Sans, Papyrus, and Undyne were also released in the past few years.

Undertale’s Toriel Nendoroid will start shipping in Japan in August 2023, and it’s slated for release in the US in Q4 2023. Pre-orders will be open until June 1^st, 2023. Undertale is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

A Nendoroid based on the Human from Undertale is now available to pre-order on the Good Smile Company official site. The figure had previously appeared at the WonHobby 36 event along with another one based on Toriel. The Human Nendoroid will cost ¥6,100 from the Japanese site or $42.99 from the US online store. It's scheduled to release in August 2023 in Japan. It will appear in the US in Q4 2023.

This Nendoroid will come with an expressionless face as the only face plate available. However, it will feature a SOUL item, a hand to connect with the future Toriel Nendoroid, and a Flowey miniature figurine. Regarding the latter, in the images you can see that it will be available with two face variants.

With this reveal, there are now four Nendoroid figures available based on Undertale, counting the previously released Sans, Papyrus and Undyne ones. Likewise, Good Smile Company recently revealed a new Nendoroid based on Ralsei from Deltarune, another Toby Fox game.

Undertale’s Human Nendoroid will start shipping in Japan in August 2023. It will ship in the US in Q4 2023. Pre-orders will be open until May 11, 2023. As for the Toriel figure, it has not yet been specified when it will be released. Undertale is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The first Deltarune Nendoroid is on the way, as a figure of Ralsei from the Toby Fox game will appear in 2023. It will show up in Japan first in October 2023. It will cost ¥8,900 there. The North American release is set for December 2023. The price in the US storefront will be $62.99. Among his accessories will be one of the cakes he "baked."

This version of Ralsei only shows his dark side. There’s no option to swap heads and hands for his other appearance. He’ll come with three face plates. One features a neutral expression, he’s smiling widely in the second, and he is blushing in the third. There also seem to be two different pairs of glasses to help convey various expressions. His hat is removable. As for accessories, he can be posed holding a cake or a sparkle.

While Ralsei is the first Deltarune Nendoroid, there have been quite a few figures from the Toby Fox game Undertale so far. Sans and Papyrus showed up first. Those were followed by Undyne. The Human and Toriel are in development too.

The Deltarune Ralsei Nendoroid will come to Japan in October 2023 and North America in December 2023. Pre-orders close on April 27, 2023. Deltarune chapters 1-2 are available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Chapters 3-5 are in development.
