Life-sized plushes of Ekans and Serperior from Pokemon will appear in China, with no news yet for a release outside of the region. These plushes are to commemorate 2025, the Year of the Snake. [Thanks, Pokejungle!]

The life-sized Pokemon plushes are 2.0 m (Ekans) and 3.3 m (Serperior), respectively. You can pose them so they’re curled with their heads raised, looking much like their art from the games or show. This can also help to conserve space, or fit them in smaller rooms if you don’t want them to take up an entire 2.0 m or 3.3 m.

While many snake-like Pokemon have appeared in the games over the years, Ekans and Serperior are some of the more popular ones compared to species like Seviper. In Ekans’ case, this is because Jessie of Team Rocket debuted with this Pokemon in the anime. Meanwhile, Serperior is the final evolution of Snivy, which was a starter Pokemon in Black/White.

The life-sized Ekans and Serperior Pokemon plushes will come out in China’s Pokemon Center. Time will tell if they will show up in regions outside of it. If you want a life-sized Pokemon plush and aren’t picky about the species, the Pokemon Center also recently released a Gardevoir doll.

pokemon center life-sized gardevoir doll

Some corners of the Internet are about to become very happy, as the Pokemon Center announced a life-sized Gardevoir doll. It’ll come out on February 6, 2025 and it’ll cost 49,500 JPY ($319.20). [Thanks, Poke_Times!]

The life-sized Gardevoir doll stands at 160 centimeters tall, and weighs 5000 grams. According to the site, it can’t actually stand on its own, as Gardevoir has tiny little stick legs. You’ll need to prop it against a wall or seat it on something. The Pokemon Center also does not allow you to buy the Gardevoir plush with anything else. You'll need to make other purchases in another transaction.

A in the reply pointed out that the Gardevoir plush on the Pokemon Center has a different return policy and toy age recommendation compared to other life-sized toys on the site. The Gardevoir is the only one for people fifteen years and older. As well, while you can return other products within two weeks, the Gardevoir’s return policy states you can only exchange or return it if there’s a problem with the product itself. This could have to do with the size of the doll, though, rather than any nefarious reasons.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the latest mainline entries of the franchise, are available on the Nintendo Switch. The life-sized Gardevoir doll will come out on February 6, 2025 in Japan.

valentine's day 2025 pikachu pokemon

The Pokemon Center in Japan will start selling Valentine’s Day merchandise starting on January 18, 2025. You can start purchasing them a day earlier via the online store, though.

Pikachu is the star of all the merchandise, though it’s sporting a simpler design. Here are the prices for all of the items:

  • Assorted chocolates box: 3960 JPY
  • Assorted chocolates tin: 1404 JPY
  • Miniature tote bag: 2750 JPY
  • Mug: 2750 JPY
  • Pikachu with a heart doll: 2200 JPY

All the items feature heart patterns and Pikachu. Even the handle of the mug has a heart shape. While Ichiban Kuji collections or merchandise lines from Pokemon usually feature a variety of species, the “Pikachu with a heart” goods for Valentine’s Day only features Pikachu. This includes on the chocolates and snack packagings as well. Considering the enduring popularity of the Pokemon, as well as it acting as the face for the franchise, this is likely so that you can gift it to a casual or hardcore fan with no issue.

The Valentine’s Day chocolates and goods will appear via the online Pokemon Center on January 17, 2025. Physical locations will stock them on January 18. Other video game chocolates you can purchase for this year’s Valentine’s Day include ones of Pikmin and Animal Crossing from Godiva.

pokemon christmas 2024 merchandise

Christmas is coming early this year, as the online Pokemon Center in Japan will start selling Christmas-themed Pokemon merchandise from October 26, 2024. These items, which are part of the Pokemon Heartwarming Christmas collection, include some ugly Christmas sweaters and warm-looking plushes.

The main visual for the collection features lots of different Pokemon wearing warm scarves and hats. Species include Pikachu, Mimikyu, Wooloo, and Espurr. Stantler serve as reindeer, and Poke Balls hang from garlands like Christmas tree ornaments. As mentioned earlier, items include plushes and Christmas sweaters. You’ll also be able to get ornaments for your Christmas tree, a reusable bag you can use to wrap gifts, greeting cards, stickers, and an advent calendar.

These items will appear in the physical stores from October 26, 2024. However, you can get them a little earlier from the online stores. They’ll appear on October 24, 2024. Since they’re limited to the Japanese store, and the Japanese store doesn’t offer international delivery, those who live outside of Japan and want to buy these Pokemon Christmas 2024 merchandise will need to use a proxy service.

For those who want to buy things for the spooky season, The Pokemon Center has Halloween plushes of Pokemon looking scared or surprised. The Halloween event recently launched in Pokemon Unite as well. Darkrai is a new addition to the game, and he went live on October 17, 2024.

The latest mainline entry to the series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, is readily available on the Nintendo Switch.

pokemon halloween plushes

The Pokemon Center has started selling Halloween keychains and plushes. All of the Pokemon are wearing costumes, but they’re the ones getting surprised by something or someone.

Plushes cost $29.99 and keychains cost $15.99. The keychain features a smaller version of the plush with a ring so that you can attach it to your backpack. As for the Pokemon available, you can get Pikachu (of course), Rowlet, Fuecoco, and Froakie. Pikachu and Froakie are wearing witch costumes while Fuecoco is a pumpkin. Meanwhile, Rowlet’s not wearing a costume. Instead, it’s looking really dapper with a pumpkin bowtie and spider-and-Woobat top hat.

Though it’s not new, there are some other Halloween Pokemon plushes still available for purchase on the website. The line-up includes the Spooky Festival Calyrex plush, the Pumpkin Celebration Toxel keychain, and the Pumpkin Party Yamper plush. Prices differ depending on the size, line, and design, so if there’s an older plush you wish to buy, you might have to check out the Pokemon Center website.

As we approach Halloween, we’ll begin to see more festive Pokemon merchandise or events. Bandai started an Ichiban Kuji lottery in mid-September 2024 focusing on Ghost Type Pokemon. We can expect something from Pokemon Sleep next month too, as last year’s Halloween season had a special event. The Halloween event ran from late October to early November in 2023 though, so that’s likely when it’ll occur this year as well.

The latest mainline entry in the Pokemon series is Scarlet/Violet, which is readily available on the Nintendo Switch.

pokemon morelull lights

The Pokemon Center in Japan will start selling a lamp that looks like Morelull. There's a motion sensor inside of it that will let it turn on by itself when someone walks by it.

https://twitter.com/poke_times/status/1804016424555315327

The Morelull lamp from the Pokemon Center is life-sized. So if you decorate your room with them, it feels like you have Morelulls in reality. You’ll be able to buy it from the online store from June 27, 2024. Meanwhile, the physical stores will have them from June 29, 2024. The Morelull Pokemon lights cost 13,200 JPY each, which is around $82.65.

Morelull is a Grass/Fairy type Pokemon that debuted in Generation VII, which was Pokemon Sun and Moon. It evolves into Shiinotic from level 24. Morelull looks like a little cluster of bioluminescent mushrooms. When it evolves into Shiinotic, its multiple mushrooms merge together to turn into one giant mushroom.

While the Morelull light is cute enough for a kid’s room, its pricing might make it more suitable for an adult collector. Some other Pokemon goods from Japan suited for an older audience include kitchenware and household items based on Pokemon Concierge. Japanese snacks (kyogashi) based on Pokemon are also available from Kanshundo.

The Pokemon motion sensor LED Morelull lights will be available in Japan from June 27, 2024.

pokemon paradox plushes

The Pokemon Center has started selling plushes based on the Paradox Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. You’ll be able to get Scream Tail, Flutter Mane, Slither Wing, and Chien-Pao.

The prices for the plushes are slightly different depending on the species. Scream Tail and Flutter Mane cost 2970 JPY ($19.10). Slither Wing costs 4400 JPY ($28.30). Meanwhile, Chien-Pao costs 3520 JPY ($22.65). The difference in price may be due to the different designs requiring more or less materials than the others. The North American Pokemon Center does not have these plushes available. However, you should be able to purchase them even if you live overseas through proxy services or sites.

The Pokemon Center in Japan has released several Pokemon Scarlet and Violet plushes in the past. In September 2023, it released dolls of Ogerpon, Okidogi, Fezandipiti, and Munkidori. Later in December 2023, you could get dolls of Charcadet, Grafaiai, Tinkatink, and Palafin (Hero Form).

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Paradox Pokemon look like ancient or futuristic versions of existing Pokemon. For example, Scream Tail looks like a version of Jigglypuff that may have lived a long time ago. While Chien-Pao is not a Paradox Pokemon, it is a Legendary that is a dual Dark and Ice Type, and is one of the Treasures of Ruin quartet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are readily available on the Nintendo Switch.

lapras pokemon plush header

The Pokemon Center is selling a giant, 34-inch Lapras Poke Plush. It’s available for $300 and will come out in mid-December 2024.

According to the description on the website, the Lapras plush is big enough to play on. So you can pretend like you’re riding on a Lapras in your house. It’s made of polyester fiber, polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyurethane foam. It can go into the water, technically, but you definitely cannot ride it into a pool. Some key details on the Lapras plush include the individual spikes on its shell and the two blue dots at the back of its head.

Lapras is one of the original 151 Pokemon and is a dual Water and Ice type that originates from the Kanto region. It seems to take cues from marine monsters such as the Loch Ness Monster. In Japan, Lapras is the ambassador Pokemon for the Miyagi Prefecture. This means that Lapras often appears in tourism campaigns for that prefecture, such as a Lapras-themed cafe that was around for a limited time from December 2021 to January 2022.

The Pokemon Lapras Poke Plush will come out in mid-December 2024. You can put in your orders now via the Pokemon Center website.

nacli salt shaker pokemon

The Pokemon Center in Japan will start selling a salt shaker that looks like Nacli from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The kitchenware will be available from November 16, 2023.

Those living overseas will need to find a proxy service of some kind to buy the salt shaker. This is because The Pokemon Center website does not offer international shipping. The official Pokemon store in the United States does not currently sell the salt shaker. Instead, it offers a Nacli Poke Plush.

The Nacli salt shaker will cost 2200 JPY, which is around $14.60. Size-wise, it’s 8.4 x 7.35 x 7.5 cm, so it’s on the larger side for a salt shaker. You can also use it for other seasonings, of course, such as pepper or paprika. However, the reason why the Pokemon Center markets it specifically as a salt shaker is likely due to the Pokemon's strong association with the mineral.

Nacli, the Rock Salt Pokemon, debuted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as a Rock type you can find wandering around Paldea. It evolves into Naclstack at level 24 and then Garganacl at level 38. The name originates from NaCl, which is the chemical formula for sodium chloride (more commonly known as table salt).

The Nacli salt shaker will appear in The Pokemon Center in Japan from November 16, 2023. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available on the Nintendo Switch.
