Capcom shared some details regarding how it will be handling cheaters in Monster Hunter Wilds, and it mentioned how it will stop pre-release content and unauthorized quests from appearing. It stated offenders will be suspended if they took part in malicious activities or actions that go against the of service for the game. It also reminded us that Hunter Profiles allow us to report people if we see bad or malevolent behavior.

In the case of cheaters who already used “unreleased content,” Capcom is already suspending those Monster Hunter Wilds players. It stated it looked at both “activity history” and “gameplay data” when coming to conclusions on social media. It didn’t note how long s will be suspended.

As for the illegal quests that appear in games, Capcom noted those will be tackled in Title Update 2. The game will automatically update to prevent people from even being able to go on quests that are “illegitimate.” People who made those quests will be suspended for it. The company also shared an infographic to help point out some “tells” for illegal quests, such as a mission featuring three or more monsters as targets or offering more than five rewards for a mission that has one monster to fight.

In the meantime, another recent update is more positive. We can earn Felyne headgear that makes our Hunters look like Palicos. That’s part of an Event Quest that debuted on June 3, 2025. It’s only around for a limited time.

Capcom announced the next Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quest will let our hunters dress up like our Palico companions, as Faux Felyne headgear will be a craftable reward. It will be tied to “Three Tails Better Than None.” We’ll only have two weeks to claim it via playing the game, as the mission will be available June 3-17, 2025.

In order to take part in “Three Tails Better Than None,” you will need to be at HR 16 or higher. So make sure you beat the campaign and are well into the adventure. Taking the quest will send you off to Wounded Hollow. Once there, you’ll then need to beat three Quematrice within the time limit. Since this is a monster we first encounter early in the game and it’s only HR 16, I think it should be fairly manageable. Especially since it is designated as a four-star difficulty level assignment.

Upon beating the quest, you’ll get the materials needed to head to Gemma and make Faux Felyne α headgear, which makes you look like a Monster Hunter Wilds Palico. Capcom didn’t note how many times we might need to beat the Event Quest in order to get enough for one. It did share one example photo, however, which shows the more traditional appearance of the cat-like creature, which looks like a Siamese cat with blue eyes. 

There are two other Event Quests starting at the same time as “Three Tails Better Than None.” However, neither of them involve a special cosmetic item. They will be more challenging than the Faux Felyne headgear assignment. Both are five-star difficulty missions and require HR 21. Anguish and Atrocity is a Guardian Doshaguma quest at Ruins of Wyveria for Hunter Rank Points. “Tongue-Tied” is a Tempered Chatacabra hunt at Windward Plains for Advanced Armor Spheres and Hard Armor Spheres.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Faux Felyne headgear Event Quest that lets us make gear that look like a Palico head will debut on June 3, 2025.

Capcom announced that it will add both free and paid items based on Street Fighter 6 to Monster Hunter Wilds, with the update and DLC arriving on May 28, 2025. This means a Chun-Li costume for Alma to buy, Akuma layered armor for our hunters, and the ability to dress our Palicos as Blanka-chan with layered armor. A new trailer highlighted all of these in action.

This is actually the second time Akuma appeared as layered armor in an entry. It was in Monster Hunter Rise as an Event Quest reward back in August 2021. This version of the armor features special actions. 

As for the paid DLC, a few items came up. Alma will get both Chun-Li and Cammy costumes. Stickers featuring characters like Ryu, Akuma, Juri, Cammy, and Blanka-chan will appear. Gestures with attack properties that recreate the Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpu-Kyaku will come up. There will also be a Blanka-chan Doll pendant for our equipment. Prices aren't available for this yet. However, the description on the YouTube trailer noted these are all sold piecemeal and not in a pack.

This is the first major crossover for Monster Hunter Wilds. However, past games featured a number of them. In Monster Hunter Rise, there were tie-ins with titles like Mega Man, Okami, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the aforementioned Street Fighter collab.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Street Fighter 6 is on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC now, and it will come to the Switch 2 on June 13, 2025. The Street Fighter 6 Monster Hunter Wilds free crossover update and paid DLC will debut on May 28, 2025.

Capcom announced that Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurants will offer a Monster Hunter Wilds featured meal and contest on social media. While the menu at the eatery didn’t update to show it yet, the site to enter the contest is live now.

In of the meal, the official image offers a suggestion as to what it could be. That features the what looks like a meal with two of the chicken tenders, both with cheese added to them, with fries, pickles, and dipping sauce on the side. A price wasn’t noted, but meals there tend to be about $12.49 to $14.49.

As for the Dave’s Hot Chicken Monster Hunter Wilds contest, getting entered is a pretty typical process. You go to the official site and provide your email, name, and address by May 9, 2025. If you’re over 18, you can take part and enter once per day. 330 prizes will be given away. 200 people will get a $50 gift card for the restaurant. 100 will get Dave’s Hot Chicken merchandise and a $50 gift card. 20 people will get a digital PS5 copy of Monster Hunter Wilds alongside the restaurant merchandise and a $100 gift card. Finally, the 10 grand prize winners get the digital PS5 game, a plush toy based on the series, Dave’s Hot Chicken merchandise, and a $200 gift card for the restaurant. Winners will be picked on or around May 12, 2025, and will then be ed and receive their prizes after that.

Capcom announced that the Monster Hunter Wilds Festival of Accord: Blossomdance event launches on April 23, 2025, for those who unlocked The Grand Hub Gathering Hall, and the Blossomdance DLC with new emotes, stickers, pendants, and cosmetics like a Spring Blossom Kimono for Alma and Seikret Decorations will debut too. However, Alma can wear that kimono for free during the event. The activities in-game run until May 6, 2025.

Many of the changes are cosmetic. The trees are blooming, just like sakura blossoms, in The Grand Hub. This means things will look quite different. If you during this time period, you get tickets for the themed Sakuratide Hunter armor and Papier-Mache Palico equipment and Vouchers for themed food. Additional bonuses for logging in involves things like a Seikret Decoration, Pop Up Camp decorations, gestures, and pendants. There will also be two Lucky Vouchers given away each day during the run.

Capcom’s announcement on Steam mentioned crafting the Sakuratide armor and equipping it will prove helpful. Wearing that gets you more bonuses for and from activities. The “Carabosse’s Daughters” and “That Won’t Work on Me” limited time quests, which offer the tickets and drops for special equipment and accessories, will be live. Wearing that armor during it could mean extra tickets from quests. As for the Barrel Bombs minigame, it now has a blossom theme and you get more bombs in it if you wear that armor.

Capcom announced on social media that it will change the Monster Hunter Wilds Challenge Quest reward requirements, which involved leaderboard ranking initially, to ensure everyone will be able to fairly and rightfully collect any items from Arena Quests. It announced investigations into current leaderboard placements for the “Doshaguma of the Hollow” quest available in the game until April 17, 2025. Said quest is also experiencing condition changes to ensure deserving people get the items even if there was cheating.

The announcement doesn’t mean Expedition Record Board leaderboards won’t disappear, but that Monster Hunter Wilds Challenge Quests won’t require you to get a ranking in a certain position to earn the reward. There will still be a time requirement tied to certain items. In the case of “Doshaguma of the Hollow,” this change affects two rewards. Everyone gets the Doshaguma: Mark of Contest pendant just for participating. The Doshaguma: Mark of Bravery pendant is now also tied to participation, when previously it required a Rank A completion time. The major change involves the Doshaguma: Mark of Mastery pendant. That previously required someone to be in the top 10,000 players who completed the Challenge Quest. Now, you just need a Rank A time to get it.

As for the cheating investigation, Capcom confirmed it is investigating the rankings for this Monster Hunter Wilds Challenge Quest. It will spend one to two weeks reviewing the final ranking results. It will then send out rewards after that. People who exploited the system won’t get the rewards. In addition, Capcom noted people who used glitches or cheated will be excluded from the ranking, and those who actually did cheat in some way could be either suspended or banned.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The “Doshaguma of the Hollow” Challenge Quest runs until April 17, 2025.

Keychains of the Sanrio Monster Hunter monsters will appear in capsule toy machines around Japan some time during the second week of April 2025. There are ten variations to collect, and it costs 300 JPY ($2.10) per attempt.

These rubber keychains stand at around 50 millimeters tall, and the target audience is for people who are over fifteen years old. It’s likely due to the toys being a choking hazard for younger children. Here are the ten different Sanrio Monster Hunter keychains to collect:

• Bad Badtz-Maru x Nargacuga
• Cinnamoroll x Velkhana
• Hangyodon x Lagiacrus
• Hello Kitty x Felyne
• Kuromi x Fatalis
• Little Twin Stars x Rathalos and Rathian

This is the same line-up that Sanrio and Capcom came up with back in 2024 when it first announced the crossover project. Items that have appeared in the past include acrylic keychains, clear files, and stickers.

It’s unlikely that these Sanrio mascots will appear in Monster Hunter Wilds, which is the most recent entry in the Monster Hunter franchise. They’re part of a collaboration of physical and digital merchandise, rather than a crossover within the game. Monster Hunter Wilds came out in February 2025, and sold over 8 million copies within three days of release. It is currently Capcom’s fastest-selling game to date.

A collaboration cafe combining Monster Hunter Wilds and Red Bull will appear in Japan between April 19-20, 2025. The venue selected is the Café&Bar RAGE ST, located near Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo, Japan. It will involve the meals with the drinks, as well as some imagery pairing Hunters with the item.

Four different menus inspired by different monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds will be available, each paired with a different Red Bull drink as well. The menus include two burger sets, a Japanese style curry dish with pancakes as a dessert, and a gyoza plate accompanied by a rose hip pudding.

Additionally, the monsters attached to each menu are the Arkveld and Rey Dau for each burger set, the Nu Udra and Rompopolo for the curry and pancakes menu, and the Uth Duna and Lala Barina for the gyoza plate and rose hip pudding. The cafe will allow for 1, 2, or 4 person seats, and bookings will be handled in a first-come, first-served basis. The second floor of the cafe will include PS5 and PC sets where player will be able to participate in a time attack-style challenge.

The Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration cafe with Red Bull will appear between April 19-20, 2025 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Monster Hunter Wilds is readily available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide. The first free title update including the Mizutsune monster is now available on all platforms.

Capcom announced the release of new Monster Hunter Wilds t-shirts and apparel items in Japan and shared details about the designs now on Amazon. There are four new designs in various different clothing options, and they are now available for purchase from Amazon Japan.

As a reminder, Amazon Japan offers international shipping. The four new designs included are the Arkveld monster icon, the Mizutsune icon, the Doshaguma icon, and the Quest Start text, all from the latest Monster Hunter Wilds entry in the hunting action series.

Each design is available in short sleeve t-shirt, long-sleeved t-shirt, sweatshirt, and hoodies options. There are also various sizes available for men, women, and children, and several different color variations.

Capcom revealed a new figure modeled after the Monster Hunter Wilds flagship monster Arkveld. This figure will appear as part of the Capcom Figure Builder Creators Model line, and the company will release it in Fall 2025. Depending on when someone orders it, it will either appear in September or October 2025.

The company will use PVC and ABS to produce this figure, which depicts the awakening of Arkveld in the Wyveria area. The set will have an approximate total height of 21 cm (~8.27 in), width of 25.5 cm (~10.04 in), and depth of 31.5 cm (~12.4 in).

The new figure will be available at 22,000 yen (~$147.15). The official webpage lists October 16, 2025, as the formal release date for this figure. However, the e-Capcom web store has exclusive early bird sales, so people who place orders there can get it earlier, on September 25, 2025. Those residing outside Japan can also pre-order on the Japanese web store via the WorldShopping widget.

Capcom has been releasing many figures based on popular monsters from its Monster Hunter franchise. The company is also gradually restocking its previously released figures featuring monsters like Lagiacrus and Mizutsune throughout 2025.

Capcom's Yuya Tokuda published a public letter detailing planned future updates for Monster Hunter Wilds. The game's director also noted that the update patches for Monster Hunter Wilds will include gameplay balance adjustments that buff the Hammer and nerf the Corrupted Mantle, among others.

The first major title update, which primarily adds quests against Mizutsune and Zoh Shia on April 4, 2025, will also come with a balance update that nerfs the effects of the Corrupted Mantle. This item can increase the players' attack power and weapon affinity in exchange for a gradual health drain while being worn. Capcom will, in return, buff the effects for other Mantles in the same update. It will also simultaneously bring a stability update that reduces VRAM usage for the PC version.

Another balancing update in the future will focus on the weapons. While Capcom is considering buffing the Hammer, it will also scrutinize other weapons available in Monster Hunter Wilds and may add some nerf adjustments if they are too overpowered. The company is still contemplating whether to release the weapon balance update in the version 1.011 update in late May 2025 or the second major title update that adds the Lagiacrus in Summer 2025.

Yuya Tokuda published the director letter shortly after Capcom announced that it had sold over 10 million units of Monster Hunter Wilds. The company previously recorded 8 million units—including all pre-orders—sold during the game's launch weekend from February 28, 2025, to March 2, 2025. That means it took a month to add 2 million more units and round up the milestone.

Monster Hunter Wilds is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The first major title update is slated to appear on Friday, April 4, 2025.

Capcom has announced that the first free title update for Monster Hunter Wilds will release on April 4, 2025. The update will let players fight Mizutsune and Zoh Shia in the latest entry in the series, as well as a new hub area and various free cosmetics.

The announcement was made during a Youtube livestream showcasing the other features of the update. The ability to hunt the Mizutsune, as well as craft its associated weapons and armor, will appear after reaching Hunter Rank 21 and talking to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest base camp. Players who reach at least HR 50 will also be able to hunt Zoh Shia again and craft its weapons. They will also be able to take on a new Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, once it is added at the end of April 2025. A new gathering hub will also be available called the Grand Hub, which features a Barrel Bowling minigame, a Wyverian performance, and Seasonal Events such as the Blossomdance. That first Seasonal Event is set to begin on April 22, 2025. Another title update is also planned for Summer 2025, with a stinger teasing the return of the fan-favorite Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter Tri/3u.

As part of the Monster Hunter Wilds first free title update showcase, both free and paid DLC for the new game came up. The showcase didn’t offer exact names for any of them, but it showed the cosmetics and additions in-action as Hunters used them in the world. Among the free ones will be the return of classic gestures, while the paid items will include cosmetics for Hunters and camp decorations. These should all show up on April 4, 2025. 

First, the free DLC for Monster Hunter Wilds came up. Classic gestures will return. While these weren’t named, they were shown. One featured a Hunter drinking a potion. Another resembled the “failure” collapse to the ground. Two others involved clapping motions.  An outfit for Alma will show up too. 

From there, the paid Monster Hunter Wilds DLC appeared. First, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 content showed up. We got to see Hunter armor, a diadem someone can equip, two Seikret barding options, and a forehead tattoo from that add-on. Paid gestures will be part of it too, with ones for Hunters and Palicos included. Toward the end of the cosmetic segment, extra music appeared. Some of the tracks shown in this section were “Awakening - MHG Ver,” “Pokke Village Theme MHG Ver,” and “Yearning for the Secret Hot Spring - MHG Ver.” Extra stickers will be added. The new Camp Gear items included a new bed, new grill, new chair, new lights, and camp fabric and roof items. There will also be charms and an outfit based on Alma’s sold outside of the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1. It appears the piecemeal paid DLC will also include weapon skins and gestures.

Ahead of that, there are Event Quests you can take while waiting for the update. These include opportunities to get new cosmetic items or equipment to craft or materials.

The first free Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds will be be the focus of an showcase on March 25, 2025. Capcom posted a brief announcement trailer to reveal the timeframe of the stream and tease the free content coming to the latest entry in the series.

This teaser trailer showed Mizutsune, which a returning monster that debuted in Monster Hunter Generations, facing off against a Doshaguma with its trademark bubbles and swift movements. It then cut to a montage of hunters facing off against the Apex Predators from each major region in the game and Arkveld. It ended with the specific date and time for the showcase presentation, which is 7am PT/10am ET on March 25, 2025.

This showcase will focus only on the content coming in the first free, Spring 2025 Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds. This update will consist of new Event Quests, Mizutsune, and even more challenges for players beyond the Tempered Monsters in the game right now. It also comes on the heels of a number of game patches to fix issues like certain skills not functioning properly and equipment loadouts not saving correctly.

Capcom has revealed some of the Monster Hunter Wilds-themed meals and drinks that will be available on the exclusive Capcom Cafe menu. People who visit the cafe outlets in Tokyo and Osaka between late March and April 2025 will be able to order from the special menu.

The menu will range from real-life depictions of the game's drinks, such as Potion and Energy Drink, to meals themed after specific creatures and monsters. One of the meals will even reference Monster Hunter Wilds' Arachnophobia Assistance setting, which changes the smaller enemy spiders to slime-like creatures.

The currently revealed menu is available right below, with all prices listed in Japanese yen. The ones numbered up to 8 are also marked accordingly in the above image. Capcom will reveal the remaining meals and drinks in the coming days.

The limited amount also suggests that people can bring home the purchased bottles, as the Palico drink bottle is also obtainable via crane game prizes.

The Monster Hunter Wilds-themed food and drink menu will be available along with other exclusive merchandise at Capcom Cafe outlets in Ikebukuro, Tokyo and Umeda, Osaka for a limited time starting from March 21, 2025.
