Good Smile Company and miHoYo announced the release of a new Nendoroid figure of Dr Ratio from Honkai: Star Rail. The figure costs 349 yuan (or about $48.44), and it is expected to release first in China on December 2025. At the moment, there is no information regarding a release date for other regions, though past ones like Aventurine and March 7th appeared worldwide.

The Dr Ratio Nendoroid figure is approximately 100mm (or about 3,94 inches) tall and is articulated. The figure comes with three different faces plates, as is common with Nendoroids. These will be a standard smiling face, a thinking face, and a closed-eyes face plate. In addition to the faces, the figure comes with 4 other parts, including his signature Book of Truth, a rubber duck, a pistol, and a bathtub. The bathtub pose appears on a Light Cone in-game.

Furthermore, a special acrylic stand will be added with the Chinese release. It’s still unclear if the stand or a different bonus will be included once the global release of the figure is announced.

As a reminder, the Honkai: Star Rail Nendoroids figures of Robin and Sunday are expected to release on August 2025, and an Aventurine Nendoroid was recently announced and it will be coming out in Japan on February 2026 and in North America sometime in Q3 2026.

HoYoVerse worked with Bkub Okawa, the mangaka known for Pop Team Epic, to release a collection of virtual Honkai: Star Rail stickers. There are 16 total designs available. All of them are available to see and grab from HoYoLab.

These designs are based on the recent 3.0 patch series and updates to Honkai: Star Rail, which means the stickers only features characters from the Astral Express and Amphoreus. This means many of them are Chrysos Heirs, such as Agalea, Anaxa, Castorice, Cipher, Hyacine, Mydei, Phainon, and Tribbie. The Astral Express appearing are both the Caelus and Stelle versions of the Trailblazer, Dan Heng, Himeko, March 7th, Pom-Pom, and Welt. The Trailblazer Remembrance memosprite Mem also appears. The recent Astral Express addition Sunday isn’t present in the pack.

As a reminder, some of the Honkai: Star Rail characters depicted in those Bkub Okawa stickers no longer feature the same voice actors. Due to the SAG-AFTRA video game strike, which started back in 2024, a number of people ended up replaced. Some of the most recent changes involved the performers for Trailblazer avatars Caelus and Stelle.

HoYoVerse confirmed in the official patch notes for the 3.3 Honkai: Star Rail update that it changed the English Trailblazer voice actors for Caelus and Stelle. It did not reveal the new performers behind either character. Previously, Caleb Yen played the male option and Rachael Chau voiced the female one. 

The official patch notes for 3.3 noted the Trailblazer English voice actors change in the section discussing changes to Honkai: Star Rail audio. It noted that for now, the snippets that come up when using the Remembrance version of the character in battle or going through the Trailblaze Mission story quests in 3.3 will sound different. It then confirmed that future updates will change the lines for other paths and quests. HoYoVerse offered no explanation in the update and didn’t announce who the new actors are.

This change for the Caelus and Stelle English voice actors isn’t the first time Honkai: Star Rail performers ended up being changed or just disappearing. Starting in 2024, we began to see alterations. In the case of Dan Heng and Himeko, voiced lines for both stopped appearing. So while others would speak during story segments, there would be silence if someone used the English language option. All of this started happening after the SAG-AFTRA strike started in July 2024, with performers striking about concerns regarding AI being used to train or replicate people’s performances. 

We’ve also seen English voice actors changed with little or no notice like this for other HoYoVerse games as the strike continued. Most recently, it also occurred in Zenless Zone Zero. Lycaon ended up being replaced in 1.6. There’s a new English performer for Soldier 11 as well.

HoYoVerse announced that one of the quality of life changes in Honkai: Star Rail will involve a change to notifications in 3.3. Basically, it will become easier for us to get rid of any persistent, red icons in-game alerting to new information or updates. We’ll also be able to hold 3,000 Relics at once, rather than 2,000, and a pre-installation of an update will take less space due to “optimizations.”

There are three ways in which HoYoVerse will adjust Honkai: Star Rail red notifications, and they have to do with the in-game phone, in-game notices, and ones that pop up on every device when you play. In the case of the red icon that shows up in the phone menu, those will no longer appear. Instead, to see them you’ll actually need to go into the section. This should make it less cluttered. With the in-game notices, just heading into a section or switching tabs in it will be enough to clear it. The specific example in the announcement used the News section and its different notices as an example. Finally, when you get things like avatars or wallpapers, checking that notification on one platform means you won’t be alerted to it on any others when you there.

As for the pre-installation option for Honkai: Star Rail, that takes effect in 3.3. So it should take less storage space to the files for the update ahead of going through with it. The Settings section will also feature a new option for pre-installs. That will be grouped in Language Settings.

HoYoVerse announced it updated the official Honkai: Star Rail storefront on Amazon, which consists of official products, with two types of plush and a new series of figures. POTEPOTTE plush sitting toys, plush keychain card holders, and stackable figures are all available. 

With the POTEPOTTE sitting plush of various characters, the main page shows four, but only three are in stock. We can get Blade, Jingliu, or Kafka. Each one is $89.99. We get the stuffed toy with a character card and a rubber keychain featuring a chibi version of them. 

In the case of the Honkai: Star Rail keychains, they’re labeled as chibi plush series card holders, but are made of fake leather. Each one has a character’s face on the front with place to hold an ID or train card. The options on Amazon are Blade, Dan Heng, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Jingliu, and March 7th. 

In the case of the Honkai: Star Rail stackable figures, five varieties are on Amazon. These are Blade, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Jing Yuan, and the male and female versions of the Trailblazer avatar. These are $15.99 each.

HoYoVerse confirmed the 3.3 Honkai: Star Rail release date will be May 21, 2025, and it also shared the characters and events coming alongside Cipher and Hyacine. This patch will mark the first rerun banners for both Aglaea and The Herta, and the Legend of the Galactic Baseballer event will return.

Here’s a “The Fall at Dawn’s Rise” trailer that goes through the Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 events and characters. The new characters come up first, with Hyacine highlighted initially. Then, we get a teaser for the Trailblaze Mission. That’s followed by a look at Cipher. Hyacine and The Herta will appear in the first phase of banners, and Cipher and Aglaea will be in the second part. At the 1:57 mark, the events come up. In addition to Legend of the Galactic Baseballer, the Trace n Drift event begins, Divergent Universe: Protean Hero appears, and two new Cavern of Corrosion accessory sets appear.

Phainon appeared as an ally for the Trailblazer and Dan Heng basically since the Honkai: Star Rail Amphoreus storyline started, and now he’ll become a playable character in version 3.4. HoYoVerse teased his debut on social media with insights into what kind of unit he’ll be. He’ll show up on July 2, 2025.

As expected from someone who is a leader, Phainon will be a five-star Chrysos Heir. He’ll follow the path of Destruction, much like Mydei. This means he can target single opponents, but will likely have a Skill or Ultimate that hits a group of enemies. He’ll also deal Physical damage. 

This means he’ll be the third Physical Destruction type unit in the game. The first form of the Trailblazer also follows that path and deals that type of damage. Clara, who’s been in the game since launch, is also on that path. Yunli, who debuted in 2.4, is that type as well.

Phainon isn’t the only Honkai: Star Rail playable character for 3.4. HoYoVerse already announced two others. Both are part of the Fate/Stay Night crossover event. Saber and Archer, from that series, will as five-star playable units. We’ll also get Archer, the first male Quantum character, as a free one when he debuts.

While it’s Golden Week in Japan right now, meaning news can be a bit slim, we’ll learn more about the 3.3 Honkai: Star Rail update later this week. HoYoVerse confirmed “The Fall at Dawn’s Rise” showcase will air on Twitch and YouTube at 4:30am PT/7:30am ET on May 9, 2025. This comes after some tidbits already appeared during the concert stream. 

The initial image for the showcase teased some of the things we can expect from this presentation. As usual, it will cover new Trailblaze story quests and events in the update. We’ll also see gameplay footage for new five-star characters Cipher and Hyacine. The voice actresses for both of them will also appear as “hosts” alongside Owlbert and the one behind Castorice. We’ll also get codes that work for one day that offer Stellar Jades and other in-game items.

As for other announcements, we know when the Fate/Stay Night crossover will come to Honkai: Star Rail. That will launch on July 11, 2025, likely alongside the 3.4 version update. Both Saber and Archer will appear as five-star units during it, and there will be a special event. We’ll all also get Archer for free.

At the Honkai: Star Rail concert, we learned that the characters that will appear as part of the Fate/Stay Night crossover will be Saber and Archer. The event will start on July 11, 2025. Both will be five-star units, and Archer will be given away as a free reward. The event also teased a new Honkai game, which could be the teased Honkai: Nexus Anima.

The Archer and Saber crossover characters will show up in Honkai: Star Rail alongside “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail,” the Fate/Stay Night event. This is confimred to actually bring the Holy Grail War to the game, with the Trailblazer and Astral Express taking part. Kinoko Nasu worked on the story, and Takashi Takeuchi drew the new character designs and art. 

As for the units, both will be focused on dealing damage to enemies, albeit in different ways. Archer, the free units we’ll all be guaranteed to get in addition to being on a banner, is going to be a Hunt character who deals Quantum-type damage. This means he’ll be focused on dealing as much pain to one enemy as possible. Meanwhile, Saber will be a Wind Destruction character. This means she’ll likely deal damage in the same way that Blade, Firefly, and Jingliu do. She will have options of hitting one foe, but there will also be opportunities for AOE hits depending on the ability used. We’ll only be able to get Saber from the banner, though she will appear as an NPC in the event story.

Ahead of the debut of the Honkai: Star Rail Concert 2025 Global Livestream, HoYoVerse shared an anime short of characters being used to promote the event. It features player avatars Caelus and Stelle taking photos of all of the four-star and five-star units as they prepare for the performance. The stream of the concert itself airs at 4am PT/7am ET on May 3, 2025. 

The Honkai: Star Rail concert anime short begins with Acheron heading onto a stage in a fancy dress, where she finds cardboard standees of Caelus and Stelle. From there, we see Jing Yuan in makeup. Stelle shows up to take photos of him. After that, Caelus is taking pictures of Castorice in a setting filled with decorative butterflies. Dr. Ratio appears for photos with Stelle after that. Then, we see Caelus take pictures of the five-star version of The Herta with some of her four-star Herta dolls. Sunday’s segment with Stelle showed up after that. Things close out with Stelle staying up to edit the photos, before we see all of the featured characters for the concert together.

HoYoVerse announced a new official wiki website that is dedicated to the Chrysos Heir characters found on Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail. It currently features eight people, with empty spots for four more. All of them are ones expected to be playable, with all except Phainon appearing in updates 3.0 through 3.2. In addition to dedicated profiles for each character, there are also magazine entries with issues about each person, with Agalea, Tribbie, Mydeimos, and Castorice ones online now. 

In the Chrysos Heir character section of the new Honkai: Star Rail Amphoreus wiki, there are the character portraits and a timeline function. You can see details from 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2. Each person’s section includes basic information about them, a gallery with official videos, art, and cutscene images, a diagram going over relationships with other characters from the region, and the story section that discusses their personal lore. The relationship diagrams seem most affected by shifting between version updates, with Anaxagoras and Tribbie’s relationship being one that notably changes between 3.1 and 3.2 as an example. 

Meanwhile, the magazines are more of a fun way for us to learn about people. There will be insights about individuals from other characters. Trivia comes up. There’s also an “interview” with each person as well.

As a reminder, the Chrysos Heir characters on Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail seem to all be based on the 13 Flame-Chasers from Honkai Impact 3rd. For example, Phainon is a clear expy of Kevin Kaslana. Aglaea is tied to Aponia. It seems like Mydei could be Kalpas. Anaxa is absolutely Su. Hyacine might be Sakura. Castorice appears to be the Griseo expy. Cipher, meanwhile, represents Pardofelis. The missing characters so far are Elysia, Eden, Vill-V, Kosma, Mobius, and Hua. 

There are two Chrysos Heirs who debuted in 3.2. The first is Castorice, who is around until April 30, 2025. The Anaxagoras banner launches on April 30, 2025, then runs until May 20, 2025.

It’s the second anniversary of Honkai: Star Rail, and fans both new and old may be wondering which characters they should pull for in 2025. Here is a list of some of the best general units you can get in the game. Note that these are basic and don't necessarily all fill the same role in a party.

As of the time of writing, Honkai: Star Rail heavily favors characters who either specialize in AoE attacks or high HP and HP reduction. This means shielders, like Aventurine, and single-target DPS characters, like Feixiao, aren’t as universally useful. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the meta of the game shifts, and the game mode and DPS of choice will change which character you prioritize. For example, Huohuo will have a hard time working with Castorice, but she shines when paired with Aglaea. Choosing characters based on your individual needs is sometimes more important than picking whoever is topping the tier lists.

For this article, we focused on picking characters who are easy to raise or use for F2P players, excel in multiple modes in the game, and have generic enough kits that you can use them with almost any archetype. Though we didn’t include any 4-stars, honorable mentions do go to March 7th (Hunt), Pela, and Gallagher. HoYoVerse hasn’t released any new 4-star characters since Moze, but they’re still good units to invest in.

The Herta is a great DPS who matches the current AoE meta. However, even if the game shifts away from that, you can still use her in modes like Apocalyptic Shadow or Pure Fiction, as they prioritize killing as many enemies as possible in a short amount of turns. Though not her optimal team or build, you can get away with using F2P units and a Light Cone other than her signature. Unlike characters like Acheron or Castorice, The Herta can still put out some good damage with those compromises.

Tribbie 4q5s6j

Tribbie is a fantastic universal character who can increase all allies’ All-Type RES PEN, as well as how much DMG the enemy takes. She can also double as a sub-DPS with her follow-up attack, which uses ally Ultimates as the trigger. The simple activation cost for Tribbie’s follow-up attack, as well as the fact that literally any composition or archetype can make use of her buffs, means that Tribbie is well worth the investment no matter who you want to use or pull.

Ruan Mei and Robin have been some of the best Harmony s in the game since they came out, and the jury is out as to which is better. While Robin provides ATK, Crit DMG, and DMG boosts, as well as Advances Forward the entire party’s turns after she uses her Ultimate, we recommend Ruan Mei a tiny bit more, because of the more general usage of her buffs. For reference, Ruan Mei increases SPD, All-Type RES PEN, Weakness Break Efficiency, DMG, and Break Effect. She can also extend the duration of Weakness Break for one turn. Not everyone wants Crit DMG, but everyone wants what Ruan Mei’s selling.

Lingsha is the “I’m a healer, but...” meme personified as a cute dragon lady. Like Ruan Mei, she’s a great universal healer who does especially well on Break teams. Not only can she double as a sub-DPS who can also heal with her summon, she can also increase how much Break DMG enemies receive with her Ultimate. Unlike other sustain units like Huohuo or Aventurine (unless you have his E1), Lingsha even has a panic button (her Ultimate and/or Ember’s Echo) when you’re in a pinch.

Even a year after this article hyping her up, Huohuo remains one of the best sustains in the game due to her auto-heal, cleanse, and Energy Regeneration. She can also increase the party’s ATK. While characters who don’t use a typical Ultimate charge, such as Feixiao and Castorice, exist, the overwhelming majority of the roster do. She doesn’t have the sheer versatility and damage output as Lingsha, but she’s still well worth the Stellar Jades.

HoYoVerse announced a Honkai: Star Rail cinema showing of the 2025 Star Rail Live Concert, and the performance of the soundtrack already sold out. Both of the May 10, 2025 slots are completely empty. However, there will be a free voice actor anyone can attend that doesn’t require a ticket.

This presentation would involve folks heading to the Regal Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California to see the concert performed on the big screen. The two slots came up at 3pm PT and 7pm PT. In each case, the presentation lasts two hours. Tickets, when they were available, cost $40 each. That purchase granted access to the 2025 Star Rail Live Concert to hear music from the Honkai: Star Rail soundtrack, as well as a bag with a themed light stick, one of six acrylic character standees, six holographic cards with characters dressed for the occasion, and a special ticket in a bag. A pop-up store will also be present at the event with other merchandise.

Here’s how those bonus items looked. Some of the featured characters on the merchandise are Sunday, Acheron, Aventurine, Castorice, Jing Yuan, and Herta. In each case, the character is performing an instrument or engaging in some sort of musical activity that makes it seem like the are a part of the concert.

As for the free voice actor , that will also be held at the Irvine Spectrum Center on May 10, 2025. It will take place before both showings at 1pm PT and last for one hour. People can head to Palm Court to hear English voice actors discuss their roles and the game.

The Honkai: Star Rail Lawson campaign started on April 8, 2025. From April 14, 2025, you’ll be able to hear Pom-Pom’s voice from the ATMs when you use them. Animate is selling Honkai: Star Rail Aventurine merchandise too.

With the exception of a few stores, Lawson branches around the country will stock up on original merchandise featuring the Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Items include acrylic folders of the characters’ splash art and stickers of the chibi characters. Lawson will also sell Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato chocolates that feature chibi versions of characters from the IPC and the Xianzhou Alliance. You can also purchase Galbo chocolates that have Mydei, Castorice, or Tribbie on them. Buying these items in real life can net you in-game awards (30,000 Credits, three Golden Honeycakes, and three Lost Crystals), but you’ll need to claim them before May 21, 2025.

During the Honkai: Star Rail campaign, you can pre-order merchandise at Lawson store. Then, when they come out later in the year, you can go get them from your local Lawson branch. Items include canvas boards of characters’ signature Light Cones, desk mats, and stainless tumblers.

Aside from Lawson, Animate is also opening up pre-orders for Honkai: Star Rail goods. These items originally appeared in the Chinese miHoYo flagship store, and will come out in Japan in mid-May 2025. Items include the “White Night” album, the Aventurine goods set, and a tissue box that looks like Trash Cake.

A “familiar companion” will send you that anniversary gift, and you can choose who sends it to you. All you need to do is select your favorite companion before April 26, 2025.

HoYoVerse will also make it easier to obtain some useful limited 5-star characters. You’ll be able to get them in the Exchange Shop by trading in either a Golden Companion Spirit or a Light Cone Memory Shard. The Golden Companion Spirit is also one of the bonuses you can get for a limited time when you collect Oneiric Shards, which you can only get via in-game purchases.

From Version 3.2 to Version 3.4, you can trade in a Golden Companion Spirit to obtain either Luocha or Ruan Mei.
