Bandai Namco announced that the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 is canceled due to the fires in Los Angeles, California. There is no new date set for the events planned to happen during the events. It was originally going to be held at the Shrine Auditorium between January 18-19, 2025. 

In the statement regarding the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 cancellation, the Bandai Namco cited the decision as a safety measure due to the Los Angeles fires. It noted a desire to ensure everyone stayed safe, while also offering consideration to those affected by the disaster.

Here’s the full message shared on social media. 

As usual, the event was going to provide a chance for the company to make announcements about video game and TCGs based on the Dragon Ball series, as well as hold finals tournaments for other titles. As a result, the Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, and Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters tournaments will be rescheduled and held at a different time. The event was also going to include promotional opportunities, such as a booth promoting the new Dragon Ball Daima anime running on Crunchyroll and a chance to take on a Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle challenge.

Bandai Namco isn’t the only company changing plans as a result of the fires in Los Angeles. Square Enix also halted automatic housing demolition in Final Fantasy XIV. This was only done on North American Data Centers’ worlds, out of consideration for victims of the fire who would be unable to play due to evacuations or other tragedies related to the fires. 

There’s no word yet on when the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 events will be held now that it is canceled. Dragon Ball FighterZ can be found on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

To celebrate Saiyan Day (March 18th), Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle is getting characters like UR [Fighter Entrusted with Allies' Wishes] Super Saiyan God Goku and UR [Greatest Instant Combat Power Born of Love] Super Saiyan Vegeta. There are also a number of special events. However, Bandai Namco also used the series’ official website to show how the Dragon Ball Z Battle Of Gods movie character was brought to life in-game.

A number of images appeared comparing the game version of the character to his Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods counterpart. Snippets from the film were chosen to show his transformation while surrounded by allies. However, an additional image of him with his eyes closed was included. The Dragon Smash Super Attack game and movie friends match during battle. The developers also adjusted the movie’s Saiyan Who Absorbed the Power of God animations from the movie so a version of it could be recreated in-game as an Active Super Attack.

Bandai Namco is celebrating April Fool's this year by revealing Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan of the Dead. This is a special minigame that can be played in the Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle mobile game.

The company explained Dokkan of the Dead's gameplay system through a series of tweets on the official global . Players can choose characters like Great Saiyaman to clear a city infested by zombies. With a first-person view, the player can tap the screen to defeat enemy zombies. Additional buttons are also available to launch a Super Attack or summon ers like Hercule, Gotenks, and Tien. At the end of the stage, the player will fight the resurrected Frieza in a boss battle.

The global client of Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle launched in July 2015. The mobile game, based on the famous Dragon Ball franchise, has stayed active for almost six years. It receives constant updates that add more characters and variations, such as Angelic Vegeta and Goku from the Majin Buu saga in August 2020.

Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan of the Dead is an April Fool's Day minigame playable in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, which is immediately available on Android and iOS mobile devices worldwide.

Even though it’s been around for five years now, Bandai Namco is still ing Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle with different events. The latest offers a chance to acquire iconic characters, or different versions of legends, by turning up for the Majin Buu Saga-related Dual Dokkan Festival. Also, people for seven straight days can earn 100 Dragon Stones worth of in-game currency.

The Majin Buu Saga event is being held worldwide for five weeks. There is a new campaign to go through for a limited time, with the opportunity to get Goku & Vegeta (Angel)and Majin Buu (Gotenks). Later in the story, during “Showdown! The Ultimate Final Battle,” Goku and Hercule will appear as units.

All of the characters highlighted in the event have different Dokkan Awakened opportunities or fusions. Goku & Vegeta (Angel) can become Super Vegito, Goku can become Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Hercule can become Hercule/Majin Buu (Good), and Majin Buu (Gotenks) can become Majin Buu (Ultimate Gohan).

Bandai Namco has announced that a new event has begun for its free-to-play mobile battle game, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.

The “Super Warrior of Destruction” event pits players against a overpowered Broly with a vast amount of hit points and devastating attacks. Additionally, the event features two stages, and by completing the hardest map of each stage, players get a chance to win big rewards.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle combines match-3 battles, elements of classic board-games, and character deck creation as well as various characters and worlds from the Dragon Ball Z universe. The Super Warrior of Destruction event starts February 4th and will end on February 11th.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle is available for free for iOS and Android devices.
